LGBT related Radio and TV Programmes, 9th - 15th January

We seek them out so you don't have to. This is our weekly non-exhaustive round up of upcoming LGBT programmes on the radio and television. Inclusion of a programme is not a recommendation.

A round up of LGBT progs and personalities on British TV.

TV
New
saturdaythere’s Dr. Who and Torchwood from 8pm on Watch.
The Big Questions is on BBC1 at 10am on Sunday with Peter Tatchell as a guest. Should LGBT workers come out is the BQ. Dancing on Ice subsumes ITV1 at 6.45pm. Torchwood 11.30pm Watch.
New series of Come Dine with Me weekdays 5.30pm on C4.
On Monday, Dear Diary on BBC4 is presented by Mariella Frostrup and features Virginia Woolf. Torchwood on Watch again. Every day in fact.
Couple of old Dr Whos from 7pm on BBC3 Wednesday
Last Friday’s QI gets its 3rd outing on Thursday at 10pm BBC2.
New QI on Friday BBC1 8.30pm. Sue Perkins on Have I Got Old News for You at 10 BBC2. More old Dr Who on BBC3.

Come Dine with Me at 4.10 on C4 and QI XL 9.25 BBC2 Saturday Nurse Jackie at 10pm Monday BBC2 and Ellen de Generes on American Idol ITV2 7.30pm.
C4 airs Will and Grace every morning at 9am.

Films
Ben Hur at 7.30 Classics Sunday. Worth it to see Tony Curtis cruising an unwitting Charlton Heston. Rocky Horror Picture Show Monday 8.20pm Indie.
Mamma Mia 8pm Screen 1 Tuesday.
Rupert Everett dragged up in St Trinians Wednesday 9pm Family
Bette Davis as the sibling from Hell in the genuinely horrible Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? on Classics at 11.10pm Thursday.
Classics trots Ben Hur out again at 8pm Friday.

Gay Internet Radio Live (G.I.R.L.) is on the air 24 hours a day with dance music from the US at www.gayinternetradiolive.com.

Wythenshaw 97.2 FM, a community radio station, airs a lesbian and gay radio magazine programme once weekly, according to Out North West Magazine published by the Lesbian and Gay Foundation in Manchester. Podcast http://www.tuesdaynightout.co.uk/

GayRadio-UK is a new online radio station in Blackpool and promises a variety of LGBT programming. The audio stream is at www.gayradiouk.com. Guests iunclude lesbian actress Amanda Barrie, gay icon Su Pollard and radical actor Richie Tomlinson. Daily programmes are uploaded at the most popular gay podcast site on the net, Feast of Fun www.feastoffools.net, with a speech based programme of LGBT guests, news digest and light-hearted discussion.
